Hi I'm Kelly! I have worked within the childcare and education sector for over ten years; supporting from as young as 6 weeks to sixth form and in a variety of jobs from cover teacher to after school club manager. Combined with my previous work within the catering industry as kitchen supervisor, catering daily for up to 30 children in childcare settings and providing cakes for soft play settings and making birthday cakes, I wanted a job that combined my love of children and teaching with my passion for baking and cooking that I have had since I was a child. A lot of mind mapping and a large dash of hard work and my company was created!
My aim is to educate children about food, making the right choices, how food affects our bodies and encourage them to explore new tastes and textures. I want to offer a stimulating experience where children can learn kitchen skills, life skills and numeracy skills all whilst having lots of fun! I live by my motto of the 3 E’s and they form the core values of my company: Educate, Explore, Enjoy Cooking! Alongside my unique #spoonsnotscales measuring method my aim is to make cooking and baking accessible to everyone!
